This Exploring Sustainability Seminar Series welcomes Dr. Kate Tibbetts (VCU Chemistry) for a talk titled "Green Chemistry and Manufacturing."

Dr. Tibbetts' research focuses on pulsed-laser synthesis of nanomaterials in liquid and on the development of metal-oxide and metal-carbon nanocomposites for catalysis and energy applications. Her work uses ultrafast spectroscopy, pump-probe techniques with mass spectrometric detection, and computational simulations to investigate reaction mechanisms, reactive intermediates, and molecular dissociation processes.
