The Oxford English Dictionary defines sustainability as “the quality of being sustainable at a certain rate or level,” but what does sustainability truly mean on our campus and in our community? The Seminar in Exploring Sustainability brings together artists, engineers, humanists, biologists, urban planners, and social scientists to examine sustainability through scholarship, policy, practice, and lived experience.

Our second seminar features Dr. Cristina and her presentation, Food Sovereignty and Indigenous Literatures.  Each seminar includes a presentation, workshop, or activity followed by discussion and networking, creating space to listen, learn, contribute, and connect. This interdisciplinary series is open across VCU and to the public and will continue every other Friday.
