Research Interest
I am a molecular cell biologist by training and transitioned to bioinformatics. My research focuses on the cellular mechanisms perturbed by metabolic disease in adipose tissue, hypothalamus, and liver. I use computational biology methods, multi-omics and population level data to understand cellular plasticity, how cells change upon disease or injury, and the mechanisms of molecular cross talk within cells. Along with biology mining, I also work to optimize and improve existing bioinformatics methods such as multiplet detection, cell type annotation.
