Overrides
If you're seeking an override for an Environmental Studies course (listed as ENVS in eServices), you must submit your request using the ENVS Override Request Form.
Important Information
- ENVS advising can provide overrides for students seeking to enroll in ENVS 101 as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or students who are approved to enroll in a course with a maximum capacity of 0 (e.g., ENVS 491, 492, 493, or 499)
- If requesting an override for a class that is full, restricted to ENVS majors, or includes a prerequisite that you have not met, instructor permission is required in addition to a completed override request form. Please have instructors email permission to envsadvising@vcu.edu.
- If you need a prerequisite override because you took a course outside VCU and it is not yet on your transcript, please send a copy of your unofficial transcript to envsadvising@vcu.edu in addition to submitting your override request form.
- Receiving an override does not automatically enroll you in the course. It is the student's responsibility to add the class to their schedule once the override has been approved and processed.
- Students seeking an override for 500 or 600-level ENVS courses should complete the Graduate Course Override Request Form.
